BREAD AND FISH

ON THE RISEN CHRIST.

This discussion is about Yeshua’s participation in a breakfast along with his apostles on Lake Galilee. (Please note that we Comosian’s cannot accept Yeshua as God. He is however the one and only begotten son of El-Shaddai and a touchstone for the rest of us).

It happened like this.

John 21:9   And so when they got out upon the land, they saw a charcoal fire already laid, and fish placed on it, and bread.

Did he actually consume bread and fish remains the question we are forever intrigued with.

I’ll get back to the above but first a little anecdote.

I have read from an article written by somebody a long way back that a devout and holy woman claimed Yeshua had visited her one fine evening. Well it seems they had tea and biscuits together.  Nothing further was heard from her about the incident.

I have no cause to doubt this incident. Even the Catholic Church leaders will tell you that Jesus Christ has appeared to quite a few people in the past.

It would seem that this lady would have liked John 21:9 extended to include her in the process of Jesus, the risen, partaking of food with her too. Unfortunately we have no records of Jesus participating in food treats in recent times and so such events should be put down to apparitions imagined at its best.

Now who wrote John the Gospel? A disciple of the Apostle John some time later. If you want to believe that a spirit can eat real fish and bread, so be it. But I have my doubts about this unless it took place in a vision.  Then it can become acceptable. The apostles were in a state of trance like visionaries beholding a vision. And what took place then was they partaking of fish and bread laid out as food.

Conclusion:  IF THE RISEN JESUS HAD FISH, IT COULD ONLY HAVE BEEN IN AN APPARATION.  Please take note of the immediate lack of recognition of the participants . If you were to see Yeshua today how would you know who it is unless  prompted by T.H.S. within you to accept whom you see as as Yeshua.
